I think it is all under control, at the moment

It has been a busy week getting all the admin type things done, and organizing and getting my work ready to hang.

I went to the Print Hub on campus and printed off 30 A4 size programs on gorgeous paper. They look awesome.

And, sigh, as I knew would happen, even after multiple proofreading sessions by different people, as soon as I sat down with a printed copy I found two formatting issues (not important) and two errors in the listing of the works. Oh bother. However, nothing too earth shattering in the scheme of things.

I also printed off 92 greeting cards of my Anthropocene of the Crime painting series from my Fine Art Thesis project. I did two sets of 46 images (I left out the species that probably wouldn't be as popular... i.e. crayfish and burying beetle.) They turned out great. Again at the Print Hub as costs are so reasonable there! I took my own cards in - saves on cutting and folding later, as well as not paying for paper. These will be for sale at the show and then left at Devonport Live in their shop for £2.25 each.

I still want to do some postcards, but that can wait until later.

Over the last two days I've got all my framed works labeled and mounted Command Strips on the backs of all the ones I intend to hang on the wall. The smaller works will be on the window ledge or a table to save on wall space.

I printed off business cards at home and then did gel printing and painting on the back of all the sheets before separating the cards. Also used a spray acrylic sealer on the backs before taking them apart. I like the look of them - a tiny original artwork to keep!

I created a guest book and an inventory list for sale tracking today so they're ready to go as well. Now it is just packing up tools and miscellaneous items like Blue Tac for putting up the display cards, wipes for cleaning glass and all that type of stuff.

We are going over to the venue on Tuesday to take wall measurements and photos (plan to take a couple of the framed items so we can judge spacing a bit better). And find out what the weight capacity is on their wire/cable handing system - from what I remember the works that they had up were not in heavy frames. As we have so little time to install, the plan has to be pretty precise so we can just start getting things on the walls as fast as possible.

Wednesday we'll pick up some easels at RLB 108 to use for my larger works as we won't be able to mount on the walls.

And the last thing I wanted to get done today was refresh my hair colour! LOL. Green fades fast. I'm getting a cut on Tuesday, so if I do it today it should still look pretty fresh with no root grow out visible.

If I can manage to, I will go to the Print Hub to get a couple posters printed off - A2 or A1 - to put up at the venue during the show. Just thought about that last night. After, I can use them for more large prints and/or weaving!

I had eye treatments last Monday so am seeing relatively well at the moment (as well as possible in the circumstances.) Which is a good thing with everything I'm working on.
